Product Overview:

The crocodile shear is named for its structural principle, which resembles the upper and lower jaws of a crocodile. Due to its advantages—including a simple design, low failure rate, high shearing capacity, and low maintenance costs—the machine has gained widespread market acceptance and is extensively used for the cold shearing of scrap materials such as round steel bars, square steel bars, angle steel, I-beams, plate steel, and steel pipes; the custom-length cutting of hot-rolled small-sized steel; the custom-length cutting of section steel at rolling mills; as well as the shearing processing of scrap reinforcing steel, small-sized pressed blocks, steel plates, and heavy metallurgical furnace materials. In terms of its operating principle, the hydraulic pump supplies pressure to drive the hydraulic cylinder, generating lever force; after pre-pressure locking, the main pressure cylinder applies a shearing force between the moving blade and the fixed blade to accomplish the cutting operation.

The Crocodile Shear, also known as a Crocodile Shearing Machine, is suitable for metal recycling plants, scrapped vehicle dismantling facilities, smelting and casting industries, waste steel mills, and other similar applications. It can perform cold-cutting on various shapes of structural steel bars and other metallic materials. The blade lengths available for this machine are: 400 mm, 600 mm, 700 mm, 800 mm, 1000 mm, and 1200 mm; the shearing capacity ranges across eight grades from 63 tons to 400 tons, making it suitable for users of all scales and with varying requirements. This machine utilizes a hydraulic drive system, offering convenient operation and simple maintenance.

Product Features:

1.The Crocodile Shear is primarily used in the waste material recycling and processing industry, where small-to-medium-sized steel plants utilize it for the cold-cutting of various cross-sectional shapes—such as round steel bars, square steel bars, channel steel bars, angle steel bars, I-beam steel bars, steel plates, and steel pipes—among other scrap metals.

2.The Crocodile Shear employs a hydraulic transmission system. Compared with mechanical-driven shearing machines, it features a compact size, lightweight construction, low inertia, low noise levels, smooth operation, high operational safety, and ease of implementing overload protection.

3.The Crocodile Shear offers both manual and automatic operating modes. Its control interface is convenient and straightforward, allowing the shear blades to cut or stop at any position during operation. Additionally, the cutting width can be adjusted arbitrarily according to the dimensions of the material being sheared to achieve optimal operational efficiency.

4.The technical parameters of the Crocodile Shear are well-balanced, its application scope is broad, and its energy consumption is low; thus, it is widely used in the scrap metal recycling industry and for metal cutting in small-to-medium-sized steel plants, providing the ideal furnace feedstock for subsequent smelting processes.

Operating Instructions:

1.Individuals who are unfamiliar with the machine's structure, performance, or operating procedures shall not operate the machine without authorization.

2.All lubrication points on the equipment shall be lubricated at least once per shift in accordance with the specified requirements.

3.When adding hydraulic oil to the oil tank, high-quality anti-wear hydraulic oil must be used; this oil must undergo rigorous filtration, and the oil level should be maintained at an adequate level at all times; if the oil level is insufficient, oil should be added immediately.

4.The fuel tank should be cleaned and the oil replaced once every six months; however, the first cleaning of the filter oil shall not exceed one month. Newly used oil that has been strictly filtered may be reused once more.

5.In the event of relatively severe oil leakage or any abnormal phenomenon during operation, the machine shall be stopped immediately; the cause must be analyzed and the fault eliminated; under no circumstances should the machine be operated forcibly while faulty.

6.During machine operation or packaging, no repairs shall be performed, and no person shall touch moving parts; it is strictly prohibited to press materials within the material bin using hands or feet.

7.When adjusting pumps, valves, or pressure gauges, only experienced technical personnel shall perform these adjustments; if a malfunction is detected in the pressure gauge, it must be inspected immediately or replaced.
