How does a Box Silenced Hydraulic Rock Breaker work?

There are mainly two types of working methods for silent hydraulic breakers:
1. Piston Impact Type Silent Hydraulic Breaker:
- Hydraulic Drive for Piston Movement: Similar to traditional hydro-pneumatic combined hydraulic breakers, silent hydraulic breakers also rely on the hydraulic power provided by excavators or loaders. Hydraulic oil enters the cylinder of the breaker, pushing the piston to reciprocate within the cylinder. However, the design and control of the hydraulic system in silent hydraulic breakers are more precise and efficient to reduce energy waste and noise generation.
- Piston Impacting the Chisel Rod: When the piston is pushed to the end of its stroke by the hydraulic oil, it will impact the chisel rod at a high speed. The chisel rod then transmits this impact force to the work object, such as rocks, concrete, etc., causing cracks and breaking them. To reduce the noise generated by the impact, silent hydraulic breakers usually adopt special cushioning materials or structures to reduce the impact force between the piston and the chisel rod, or optimize the design to shift the vibration frequency generated by the impact away from the sensitive range of human ears.
- Vibration and Noise Reduction Measures: This type of silent hydraulic breaker will also be equipped with various vibration and noise reduction devices. For example, shock-absorbing pads are installed between the outer shell and the internal structure of the breaker to absorb and reduce the transmission of vibrations; rubber sealing rings or special sealing structures are used in key parts to reduce the noise generated when hydraulic oil leaks; the outer shell of the breaker is specially treated to enhance its sound insulation effect, etc.
2. Eccentric Block Rotating Type Silent Hydraulic Breaker:
- Hydraulic Motor Driving the Eccentric Block to Rotate: The hydraulic motor provides power to drive the eccentric block to rotate at a high speed inside the breaker. The rotation of the eccentric block will generate centrifugal force and alternating force, and these forces are applied to the chisel rod of the breaker through specific transmission mechanisms.
- Alternating Force Breaking the Object: Under the action of the alternating force generated by the eccentric block, the chisel rod applies high-frequency vibration and pressure to the work object, causing the internal stress of the work object to accumulate continuously, and finally resulting in cracks and breaking of the object itself. Since this breaking method mainly relies on the stress rupture of the object itself rather than the traditional direct impact breaking, the generated noise is relatively low.
- Frequency Adjustment: In order to adapt to different working environments and work objects, the eccentric block rotating type silent hydraulic breaker can usually adjust the rotation speed and angle of the eccentric block, thereby changing the frequency and magnitude of the alternating force applied to the work object, improving the breaking efficiency and effect.
