How does a Rotating Pulverizer work?
2024-10-23

The rotary pulverizing clamp mainly works in the following way:
I. Structural composition
The rotary pulverizing clamp is usually composed of clamp body, oil cylinder, hydraulic motor, blade and other components.
II. Working principle
1. Installation and connection
- The rotary pulverizing clamp is installed on the arm of engineering machinery equipment such as excavators through connecting pins and other devices, and uses the hydraulic system of the equipment to provide power.
2. Hydraulic drive
- After the equipment is started, the hydraulic system of the excavator and other main engines will deliver high-pressure oil to the oil cylinder and hydraulic motor of the pulverizing clamp.
- The function of the oil cylinder is mainly to control the opening and closing action of the pulverizing clamp. When high-pressure oil enters the oil cylinder, it pushes the piston to move, thereby driving the clamp mouth of the pulverizing clamp to open or close.
- The hydraulic motor is responsible for driving the rotating function of the pulverizing clamp. The hydraulic motor enables the pulverizing clamp to rotate 360 degrees in the horizontal direction through gear transmission and other methods, so as to adjust the working angle and adapt to different working scenarios.
3. Pulverizing process
- When the clamp mouth of the pulverizing clamp is aimed at the object to be pulverized, such as concrete, steel bars, waste metal, etc., the oil cylinder drives the clamp mouth to close and tightly clamp the target object.
- Subsequently, the powerful biting force and the cutting action of the blade work together. The blade is usually made of high-strength alloy steel and has a sharp edge and good wear resistance.
- During the closing process of the clamp mouth, the blade cuts into the interior of the object. With the continuous force of the oil cylinder, the object is gradually pulverized into small pieces. For concrete structures containing steel bars, the pulverizing clamp can effectively separate the steel bars from the concrete and improve the recycling rate.
4. Discharging and continuous work
- The pulverized materials are discharged through the gap of the clamp mouth or a special discharge port. In some designs, auxiliary discharge devices such as vibrators are also equipped to ensure that the materials are discharged smoothly without clogging the clamp mouth.
- After completing a pulverizing operation, the oil cylinder drives the clamp mouth to open and prepare for the next pulverizing work. Due to the existence of the rotating function, the operator can quickly adjust the position and angle of the pulverizing clamp without moving the main engine, improving work efficiency.
In short, with its powerful hydraulic power, flexible rotating function and efficient pulverizing ability, the rotary pulverizing clamp plays an important role in fields such as building demolition and waste metal recycling.
